Blitzwetter

That would be my pun for blitzkrieg, but instead of krieg (war) it's weather (wetter).
We just had the strangest weather. All day today there's been brilliant sunshine and beautifully blue skies. By 3 pm Roze figured it was time for us to go outside so he set up a mission to go and buy eggs. A walk to the grocery store is 20-30 minutes, perfect for a sunny spring day.
Shock struck us. The time it took us to lock the door to the apartment and walk down the stairs to get outside was apparently enough time for the sun to go in hiding. Hiding in a huge never-ending grey-brown cloud. Heading down the hills the snow started falling. Within three minutes the air was so filled with falling snow that we could no longer even see the cloud above. Strange snow to that - no snowflakes but tiny snowballs. We decided to take the tram to the shop instead.
Shock struck us once again when done grocery shopping. Walking out of the windowless store, we realised the snowing had stopped. The sun was once again shining brilliantly. The blue skies were never-ending. And the only proof to tell of the blitzwetter was the tiny snowballs still on the ground in the shadowy corners.
Strange weather this week.
